A leading UK insurer is seeking a Head of Capital to lead the development and delivery of internal capital modelling and management strategies across the business.

Title: Head of Capital
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (FTC)
Location: West Midlands

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and oversight of internal capital models for regulatory and business purposes
  • Advise senior management and the Board on capital allocation, solvency, and investment risk
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and manage interactions with relevant authorities
  • Drive process and model improvements across the capital function
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing actuarial team

Key Experience

  • Fellow of the IFoA (FIA or FFA)
  • Extensive experience in capital management within general insurance
  • Strong understanding of regulatory capital frameworks and risk management
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide strategic guidance
  • Experience with actuarial modelling software desirable
