We are looking for an enterprising communications and content expert to lead a core function within our UK and EU Marketing team.

Job Description

As Head of Communications and Content, you will shape and deliver high-impact communications strategies and campaigns that enhance our brand reputation, support business growth, and amplify our thought leadership.

Working collaboratively with local and global marketing, research, design and digital teams, as well as business leaders, you will drive multi-channel content that speaks to our clients, our people, and the wider industry.

Skills and Experience

  • Strategic Thinking: Work with the UK and Europe Head of Marketing and Newmark’s VP of Public Relations and Corporate Communications to develop strategic UK and EU communications plans
  • Establish close relationships with business teams, able to influence senior stakeholders and advise on communication strategies
  • Shape regional communications strategies in support of key business initiatives, acquisitions, and leadership changes
  • Daily management of external PR agency to share stories and create integrated communications strategies
  • Collaborate with BD, Marketing and Digital teams to ensure plans are aligned and stakeholders are supported from end to end

Communications Delivery

  • Deconstruct complex business themes into clear, engaging communications for internal and external audiences
  • Ability to determine newsworthy information, extract and distil key messages, business wins and good news stories
  • Responsible for content creation for press releases, social media and blog posts, and overseeing all external outputs
  • Responsible for copywriting, editing and content creation for internal communications channels, with overall responsibility for weekly newsletter
  • Work with the Research team to create compelling thought leadership campaigns
  • Manage regional content calendars and campaign rollouts with consistent messaging and measurable outcomes
  • Help shape and support content for flagship internal and external events
  • Responsible for supporting business line SME’s speaking and panel talking points
  • Lead content workstreams and stakeholder engagement for major campaigns and strategic business initiatives
  • Track campaign milestones, measure success, and adapt as necessary to ensure outcomes are met

People & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Line management responsibility for one PR Executive
  • Daily management and accountability of external PR agency team and outputs
  • Influence the European network of PR agencies and in-country marketing professionals to develop consistency across the region
  • Collaborate effectively with business leaders, senior stakeholders, and global colleagues to align priorities and maximise reach
  • Visible, hands-on leadership presence across business teams, to become a go-to figure

About You

  • Demonstratable experience in a similar role
  • Communications experience either in-house or agency
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to clearly communicate complex ideas with clarity
  • Experience working within Real Estate desired but not crucial
  • A self-starter and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of digital channels and social media, plus PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications
  • Effective time management skills, able to manage multiple projects
  • Creative thinker who can add value through strong stakeholder management and smooth project delivery
  • Able to work in our London office a minimum of three days per week
