Overview

We are looking for a Head of Cyber Security to deliver an industry leading security posture at West London NHS Trust. This is a critical role with responsibility for all aspects of Information Security.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, direction, management and delivery of information security across the organisation, including policies and processes that apply across the organisation.
  • Lead a security program that involves corporate and clinical teams and oversee security requirements for infrastructure, applications and medical devices.
  • Support and drive the information security portfolio including DSPT CAF returns, threat intelligence platforms, and other central requirements.
  • Deliver a secure and resilient business; ensure security and resilience remains a priority in the delivery of operations.
  • Maintain a current understanding of the IT threat landscape and develop/maintain operational procedures with a standards-based approach for all security work.
  • Lead the security inputs for key transformation projects and develop and embed a security-focused culture across the organisation; communicate best practices and risks to all parts of the business and enforce compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Brief the Board, Executive Team, senior management and other key stakeholders on status and risks.
  • Partner with the Director of Digital Services to create a strategy and process that ensures the organisation maintains high operational and technical security standards.
  • Ensure delivery of DSPT and other central requirements; align with healthcare compliance and standards while delivering exceptional operational performance.
  • Maintain awareness of the IT threat landscape specific to the public sector and healthcare.
