Role

The Head of Data Science & Analytics will build and lead the team that powers data driven decision making across the business. The role will be responsible for establishing best in class data practices and analysis, improving data accessibility and enabling every business function to leverage insights for smarter decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of high quality analysis that drives strategic and operational decisions.
  • Develop frameworks for tracking performance, measuring outcomes and running testing.
  • Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Support product innovation by exploring and implementing new AI/ML approaches.
  • Establish and scale best practices for making data accessible, reliable and actionable; expand the use of self-service analytics.
  • Ensure data and insights are available to inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing data analytics team.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in data science and analytics and will have had some previous experience managing a team.
  • Proven expertise in applied data analysis and a deep understanding of experimentation, statistical modelling, and advanced analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, cloud environments (AWS or Azure), and classical ML model deployment.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, modern data science tools/platforms and BI tools.
  • Experience enabling data accessibility and self-service analytics at scale.

Desirable background

Ideally you'll have a background in SaaS, EdTech or a similar industry along with experience of integrating advanced analytics or AI/ML into customer facing products.
