Senior Recruiter at PSD Group – Finance & Accountancy

PSD are excited to partner with a long‑standing real‑estate division in Manchester to develop a development finance and analysis leader. This fixed‑term role lasts six months with the potential for permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Key member of the Development Finance & Analysis senior management team, focusing on opportunities in the North region (former Central, East and Southwest) and key schemes in Manchester & Yorkshire.
• Provide strategic financial support across the North Development region as the primary finance contact for the region, maintaining relationships with senior leaders.
• Proactively support the Deputy Development Finance Director, giving high‑level advice and strategic guidance to Group and subsidiary boards.
• Lead finance responsibility for major new investment opportunities, providing end‑to‑end transaction support.
• Liaise with external advisors and internal stakeholders to structure major projects and assess financial impact.
• Assess financial and commercial risks, apply sensitivity and scenario analysis, and identify mitigating actions.
• Produce and review financial models, integrate with Group planning, reporting and accounting.
• Review appraisal tools to ensure they remain current and appropriate for business growth.
• Provide commercial and financial advice on management of existing major investments, including renegotiation and fit assessment.
• Conduct in‑depth assessment and options analysis for exit routes and feasibility impact.
• Manage finance, tax and control risk across the Group’s major project portfolio.
• Develop, manage and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Interrogate external financial appraisals, reporting analysis to senior management.
• Support robust financial framework for procurement, implementation and risk management of investment programmes.

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with proven experience in property‑based investment finance.
• Strong track record in end‑to‑end financial management of complex, multi‑party transactions, negotiation and structuring.
• Deep understanding of technical, risk, commercial and strategic issues in complex investment decisions.
• Credibility to influence senior executives, non‑executive board and external partners.
• Thorough knowledge of housing/real‑estate finance, modelling of complex multi‑tenure schemes.

The selection process will be efficient, with a face‑to‑face interview and a second round with senior parties. The role is mainly office‑based with 1–2 days remote work allowed.
