Head of Engineering

SR2 are currently looking for a Head of Engineering for a fast-growing AI start-up in West London.

• Location: West London (3 days a week onsite, 2 days WFH).

We’re searching for a Head of Engineering to lead a dynamic tech team of 8 - 10 engineers. You’ll work closely with the CEO to shape the direction of innovative products in a fast-growing, tech-driven AI environment. This is an opportunity to influence strategy, deliver scalable solutions, and make a tangible impact on the future of the business.

Ideal Candidate

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (ideally from a top-tier university).
• Minimum of 3+ experience in leading and scaling cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience in a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment, focusing on building and scaling back-end systems.
• Proficiency in full-stack development (Java/Python/NodeJS/Typescript), including cloud technologies (AWS ideally). They want someone who is always ready to code when needed.
• Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning, and a passion for using them to shape the future of SaaS.
• Demonstrates an ability to work with the product team to identify customer needs and market opportunities, translating them into technical strategies and actionable roadmaps.
• Someone who leads by example and drives innovative initiatives within the business.
