The Opportunity

  • Shape their financial strategy alongside a highly experienced Senior Management Team.
  • Dive into the exciting world of financial management, governance, and fundraising, all while fostering stakeholder relationships and ensuring the museum's financial sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small finance team and collaborate with the finance and audit committee as well as external auditors.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of management and statutory accounts, including regular financial reporting and cash flow analysis.
  • Develop and implement organisational policies, maintain insurance policies, and fulfil company secretary duties.
  • Manage financial operations including monthly accounts, payroll, expenditure oversight, and system development.
  • Set budgets, provide forecasts, support fundraising efforts, and continuously improve financial processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in financial management, preferably within a charitable organisation.
  • Professional qualification in accountancy (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) is desirable, qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.

  • c£55,000 FTE (They are open to full or part-time hours c30 or 4 days a week)
