Finatal are currently partnering with a high-growth, private equity–backed organisation seeking an exceptional Head of Finance. This is a pivotal and high-impact role, offering the opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team and play an integral part in driving strategic and operational performance.

The business operates at pace, combining organic growth with regular acquisitions, and offers a culture that is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and people focused. This role would suit an ambitious finance professional with strong commercial acumen and technical ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team across FP&A, commercial finance, reporting, and business partnering.
  • Partner with the senior leadership team to deliver strategic and financial objectives.
  • Own and manage the full P&L and cash flow, ensuring strong cost control and working capital management.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, providing actionable insight to inform business decisions.
  • Oversee the statutory audit process in partnership with the central finance team.
  • Support the ongoing digital transformation agenda, including process automation and system improvements.
  • Drive data-led decision-making through collaboration with analytics and technology teams.
  • Contribute to M&A activity, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
  • Develop business cases for new investments and monitor financial outcomes post-implementation.

Requirements

  • (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) qualified
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and commercial financial management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
  • Demonstrable experience leading or mentoring a finance team.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge and influence decision-makers.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • A hands-on, adaptable approach suited to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ambition and readiness for a first-time Finance Director or divisional leadership role.
