Overview

The Altro Group are looking for a Head of FP&A to join the Finance team. The Group FP&A team are financial business partners to the senior managers within the Altro Floors & Walls and Autoglym divisions and are responsible for preparing tailored financial reporting and analysis including monthly management accounts, analysis of business performance, annual budgets and 5-year plans. This role leads the FP&A team of 6 Management accountants. This is a full time (37.5 hours a week), permanent, hybrid role (minimum of 3 days a week in our Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire HQ).

Responsibilities

• Lead the FP&A team of 6 Management accountants and act as financial business partner to senior managers in the Altro Floors & Walls and Autoglym divisions.
• Prepare tailored financial reporting and analysis, including monthly management accounts, analysis of business performance, annual budgets and 5-year plans.
• Develop financial models and provide clear, concise insights to support decision-making; interpret data and manage deadlines to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Oversee and optimise financial planning and reporting systems; experience with implementations (e.g., JDE or similar packages) will be key.
• Manage complex group financial reporting and ensure accuracy and efficiency across the organisation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong background in FP&A within a complex, global commercial environment.
• Qualified or equivalent level with CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or MBA in Finance.
• Proven experience in managing and optimising financial planning and reporting systems, and in preparing detailed management accounts and tailored business performance analysis (sales, margins, manufacturing, inventory, working capital).
• Experience with system implementation and consolidation for group reporting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
