This is an exciting opportunity to shape financial strategy and performance within a leading insurance organisation that continues to deliver exceptional growth and innovation.

About the Role

As Head of FP&A, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership including the CFO and Regional Leadership Team providing insight, analysis and challenge to drive strategic decision making.

You’ll lead a high-performing team of Business Partners and FP&A Analysts, ensuring the business has a clear understanding of its financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities whilst influencing outcomes across multiple channels and product lines.

This is a senior, visible role requiring strong commercial acumen, confidence and credibility. You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance, Underwriting and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate forecasting, actionable insights and effective financial planning ensuring the business continues to thrive in a fast changing market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Regional FP&A team to deliver insightful, high-quality financial analysis and reporting.
  • Drive forecasting, planning and performance analysis across multiple business lines.
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide commercial insight and financial challenge that informs strategic decision-making.
  • Own the regional financial planning and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Collaborate with group finance teams to deliver efficiency, transparency and consistency in reporting.
  • Support growth and transformation initiatives by providing data-driven financial assessments.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of eight finance professionals, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the CFO in key meetings and committees when required.

About You

You are a senior finance professional with a proven track record in the insurance sector, ideally within a complex, regulated environment. You combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and have the confidence to influence senior stakeholders at every level.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with relevant post‑qualification experience.
  • Strong background in FP&A, business partnering and financial leadership within the insurance industry.
  • Proven ability to manage planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Skilled in analysing complex data and presenting clear, actionable insight.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a dynamic, performance‑driven environment.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to challenge, influence and drive change.
