Overview
We’re partnering with a growing private equity firm, headquartered in London, to recruit a Head of Fund Accounting. In this role, you’ll oversee end-to-end financial operations for a portfolio of closed-end funds and co-investment vehicles. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll lead a small team and collaborate closely with Investment, Investor Relations, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality fund reporting while building scalable processes. You’ll drive production of investor reports, lead quarterly investor calls, and oversee capital activities. You’ll ensure reconciliations between funds and SPVs and align management fees with Group Finance. You’ll look to streamline and automate processes to improve efficiencies and deliver premium reporting for investors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end financial operations for a portfolio of closed-end funds and co-investment vehicles.
- Manage quarterly and annual reporting cycles for closed-end funds and SPVs, ensuring timely and accurate financial reviews and compliance with GAAP (UK/US/IFRS) and LPA requirements.
- Oversee capital activities and ensure accurate reconciliations between funds and SPVs.
- Align management fees with Group Finance and drive consistency across entities.
- Produce clear, insightful investor reports and lead quarterly investor calls.
- Lead efforts to streamline and automate processes to improve efficiencies and reporting quality.
- Collaborate with Investment, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, Valuations, and Group Finance to support scalable operations.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Extensive private equity fund accounting experience, gained in-house or at a fund administrator.
- Management experience and strong knowledge of closed-end fund structures (UK LPs, Lux).
- Strong stakeholder management across Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, Valuations, and Group Finance.
- Passion for building scalable, automated processes and delivering exceptional investor reporting.
Employment details
Base salary: £110k–£150k, depending on experience. Performance-linked bonus and comprehensive benefits. Hybrid working model with 3–4 days in the London office.
