Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Head of Group Procurement and Supplier Management to join our Finance Leadership team, reporting to our Group CFO.
The key purpose of this role is to build and lead Group Procurement and Supplier Management within Skipton Building Society and the Group Insurance function across Skipton Group. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across the Group to formulate procurement strategies aligned with our ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Embed our procurement transformation programme and supplier management framework to enable corporate plan delivery.
- Maximise purchasing power and minimise third-party risk.
- Oversee procurement activities ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to the development of the finance function as a key member of the Group Finance Leadership Team.
- Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and develop procurement best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Senior people leader with expertise in change management, cross-functional operations, indirect procurement, and supplier management in a regulated sector, ideally Financial Services.
- Experience of the FS landscape and regulatory requirements.
- Strong business acumen, transformation delivery, team building, and excellent communication and influencing skills.

Role Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategies for procurement and insurance functions.
- Review and approve category strategies, sourcing initiatives, and savings targets.
- Oversee procurement governance and supplier management practices.
- Ensure insurance requirements are fit for purpose and managed effectively.
Requirements
- Significant procurement experience in a regulated environment, preferably FS sector.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management and procurement methodology.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Chartered Member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS).
