Overview
This role is for a rapidly scaling European fashion, fitness and lifestyle start-up. The Head of Growth/Head of Paid Social leads all growth marketing efforts with a strong focus on paid social channels. This is a strategic role with a team of one, involving hands-on execution. The organisation is cash positive and scaling fast, initially targeting the US market before expanding to Europe and other territories. This is a great opportunity to be effectively marketing hire #1 in a scaling D2C business, with potential to take on more responsibility over time.
This is a fully remote (UK) role with 2-3 team meets annually.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategy to generate high quality traffic across paid social channels (Meta, TikTok, Instagram), that converts to drive product sales across different branded D2C websites.
- Build capability to understand customer segments to improve targeting, reduce CPA, drive basket and lifetime value.
- Build a campaign and content calendar, based around seasonal events and new product launches.
- Collaborate with creative teams to generate high quality video and image content to test in campaigns across different channels.
- Hands-on build and execute paid social campaigns, managing a marketing manager to support execution (approx. £300k monthly spend).
- Analyse and optimise campaign performance and conversion journey to drive campaign metrics and revenue.
- Coach and mentor a relatively junior marketing manager to upskill and drive performance.
Qualifications
- You must +1.5 years experience scaling a DTC start-up or scale-up. This is essential.
- Our client is a growing D2C eCommerce brand looking to scale. This role requires hands-on experience leading the growth of a smaller D2C business. Candidates with experience only at large, established brands (e.g., Boohoo, ASOS) are not right for the role. The DTC brand could be in fashion, cosmetics, vitamins, supplements—any consumer domain.
