Overview of the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow the inbound sales function within a market-leading fintech payments provider. As Head of Inbound Sales, you will report directly to the Sales Director and be responsible for the management, conversion, and optimisation of inbound sales enquiries from both online and referred channels.
You'll work closely with our Sales, Marketing and Partnerships teams to ensure a coordinated, high-performing response to inbound demand and oversee a team that supports the Sales organisation with client onboarding, qualification, and activation. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and strategic leader, with a proven track record in managing high-velocity sales teams, driving revenue from inbound channels, and working cross-functionally to maximise lead-to-revenue conversion.
Responsibilities
Management
- Set the context
for your team members to perform by setting targets and KPIs that are effectively measurable and ensure the necessary support framework to perform is in place (tools, training, process documentation, structure etc). - Create clarity
by regularly feeding forward the expectations to your team members (responsibilities, KPIs, priorities etc) and feeding back on their performance through regular conversations (1:1, monthly reviews, etc). - Drive results
by distributing workload, hiring team members, resolving/escalating issues. - Generate energy and engagement, reward high performance and promote a safe work environment for people to thrive.

Inbound Sales Leadership
- Own and manage the inbound sales funnel, ensuring high-quality engagement, qualification, and improving conversion of incoming leads.
- Lead and develop the inbound sales team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director on setting team KPIs, targets, and performance metrics.
Marketing and Partnerships Alignment
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure inbound leads are high quality and aligned with target personas.
- Provide regular feedback to optimise lead generation campaigns and landing pages.
- Support partnership referral flows, working with the partnerships team to ensure a seamless handover and conversion of referred business.
Client Onboarding Support
- Oversee a team that assists in client onboarding, ensuring timely and accurate information gathering and application support.
- Guide clients through their first payment or FX trade, working in collaboration with relevant internal teams to ensure a seamless experience.
- Act as a key escalation point for complex onboarding scenarios, working closely with compliance and operations.
Sales Enablement & Process Optimisation
- Continually refine qualification processes to ensure speed-to-lead and conversion metrics are improved.
- Support CRM best practices, pipeline hygiene, and sales automation improvements.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Compliance, and Product to remove friction in the buyer journey.
Team Development & Collaboration
- Coach and mentor team members through structured 1:1s, call coaching, and performance reviews.
- Help develop training resources and onboarding plans for new team members.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that embraces transparency, growth, and accountability.
Requirements
- Solid B2B sales experience with experience in a team leadership or management role, ideally in fintech, FX, or payments.
- Demonstrated success in managing high-velocity inbound sales teams and delivering against ambitious revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of lead qualification methodologies and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Experience in client dealing
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing and partnerships to drive lead quality and volume.
- Experience supporting or overseeing onboarding processes in a regulated financial services environment.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset, able to interpret performance trends and act quickly to optimise.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer experience and business outcomes.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing priorities.
