Overview

Our client, a prominent international law firm, is seeking a visionary Head of Technology to lead its global technology strategy and operations. Reporting directly to the IT Director, this senior leadership position plays a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions that enable the firm’s business objectives worldwide.

The successful candidate will oversee the technology function, define and execute a strategic roadmap, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence across the IT division.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across all technology functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and organisational vision.
• Develop and maintain a robust technology roadmap that supports innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Advise senior leadership on technology opportunities, translating business needs into effective, scalable, and secure IT solutions.
• Oversee project delivery in line with established PMO governance and best practice standards.
• Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships, ensuring optimal value and service delivery.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing technology team, promoting collaboration and continuous learning.
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across the firm to understand needs, manage expectations, and ensure successful outcomes.
• Drive adoption of emerging technologies, including Generative AI (GenAI) and Agentic AI, to enhance operational efficiency and innovation across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior IT leadership role within a mid-to-large organisation.
• Proven record of strategic IT leadership, project delivery, and managing multi-disciplinary technology teams.
• Strong experience collaborating with executive stakeholders and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Expertise in vendor and contract management, with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Deep understanding of software development, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and data engineering/BI platforms.
• Experience leading software development teams and implementing agile methodologies.
• Demonstrable success in architecting and deploying Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, integrating them within enterprise systems while ensuring compliance, governance, and security.
