Job Description
We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee our IT Operational Management, managing two key teams: the Network Operations Centre (NOC) and the emerging Operations Security Centre (OSC).
This role is crucial for maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems across Group, Venues, and Interactive platforms. You will build and lead high-performing teams that monitor, manage, and secure our IT estate, including gaming platforms, infrastructure, and cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the 24/7 operations of NOC and OSC, ensuring optimal performance on all environments.
- Establish and develop the OSC team, creating effective processes for security management and incident response.
- Enhance cost efficiency of monitoring tools like NewRelic while ensuring comprehensive visibility.
- Ensure quick detection and resolution of faults and security incidents to minimize business impact.
- Monitor and alert on security, gaming, and data compliance issues, understanding our technical obligations.
- Improve operational processes to adapt to changing business needs and industry standards.
- Mentor team leads, fostering accountability and growth.
- Collaborate with ITSM, engineering, and change teams to improve service quality and manage risks.
- Drive service improvements through insights and analysis.
- Transition BAU tasks from smaller teams to NOC/OSC, allowing focus on innovation and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Deep technical expertise in cloud and legacy infrastructure, including Azure, AWS, Cloudflare, Nginx, GitHub, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools like NewRelic and Solarcloud.
- Multiple years of experience in IT Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or IT Service Management, with a record of operational excellence.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across various technology stacks.
- Proven leadership of global, 24/7 teams focused on performance and resilience.
- Knowledge of service quality and security compliance.
- Gaming industry experience is highly desirable, especially in regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Resilient leadership, able to handle high-pressure situations professionally.
- Business acumen, understanding how operational decisions affect performance.
