Overview

The Defence Intelligence Head of IT Service delivery role is an exciting and challenging post to lead 150+ civilian and military personnel to deliver IT services across one of MOD’s most complex, secure and diverse functions. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

DI is part of the Ministry of Defence and provides intelligence analysis, specialist outputs and advice to support decision making across all levels of Defence and Government. It is a complex organisation with a diverse workforce having specialist skills, who work together and with partners to provide a critical component of the UK security infrastructure.

Our work relies on a complex collection of IT infrastructure and solutions to deliver our diverse functions including intelligence assessment, geospatial intelligence, Cyber and Electromagnetic Effects, Training and many others. These services have been previously fragmented and have been brought together into a single new IT Service Delivery Organization (J6) across all of Defence Intelligence. The purpose of the new team is to modernise, simplify and streamline how we deliver day to day services IT services to our users to support our work.

The role will support these Defence Intelligence Corporate Objectives:

Responsibilities include:

• Lead 150+ civilian and military personnel to deliver IT services across Defence Intelligence (J6).
• Modernise, simplify and streamline day-to-day IT services to our users.
• Support Defence Intelligence Corporate Objectives, including delivering decision advantage and collaborating with partners and allies using leading edge technology and analytics to deliver intelligence insights and effects for Defence and the Nation.
