Overview

A fast‑growing group of health clinics is seeking a hands‑on, strategic Head of IT to lead all technology operations across 18+ sites (expanding to 20+ next year). You will oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, digital transformation, and a small IT team, while providing empathetic leadership during a period of transition.

This role combines strategic ownership with proactive, on‑the‑ground presence in clinics, ensuring secure, reliable, and effective technology that supports high‑quality clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead IT strategy, governance, security, and multi‑year roadmap.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day IT operations across all clinics: networks, hardware, cloud, infrastructure, WiFi, telephony, CCTV.
  • Provide hands‑on support for escalations and critical issues.
  • Manage and optimise key systems:
    • EMR (e.g., Menawood/Mellowood)
    • Salesforce CRM
    • Microsoft 365 / Azure
  • Drive digital transformation, automation, and integration projects for new and existing sites.
  • Manage IT budget, suppliers, contracts, and third‑party service providers.
  • Lead and develop a small team.
  • Ensure cybersecurity, GDPR compliance, DR/BCP frameworks, and continuous risk management.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to support efficient, safe, technology‑driven clinic operations.

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Senior IT leadership experience in a healthcare, clinical, or regulated multi‑site environment.
  • Strong infrastructure, networking, cloud (Azure/M365), and cybersecurity expertise.
  • Experience with EMR/EPR systems and business‑critical applications.
  • Hands‑on approach with comfort working across clinics.
  • Strong people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
