Senior Leader Role Head of Learning & Development – based Home‑Based with travel. Full‑time contract. Salary £70,000 per annum. Key Responsibilities
Design and embed a seamless induction and onboarding programme. Propose the future team structure and lay foundations for a high‑impact L&D function. Develop a skills framework supporting leadership and management capability across the group. Over time, design and deliver a full range of L&D initiatives, ensuring colleagues at every level have access to meaningful learning and career development.
Key Areas of Impact
Strategic Leadership – Create and embed an L&D vision aligned to organisational goals and care sector regulations. Training & Compliance – Oversee induction, mandatory, refresher, and specialist training (CQC / CI / CIW compliant). Talent Development – Support career pathways including NVQs, SVQs, apprenticeships, CPD, and leadership development. Culture & Engagement – Foster a culture of continuous professional development and person-centred care. Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with managers, HR, quality teams, and external partners.
About You
Proven experience in a senior L&D leadership role, preferably in health & social care. Strong knowledge of CQC / CI regulations and UK care sector frameworks. A track record of building and delivering L&D strategies and programmes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with digital learning solutions and e‑learning platforms. L&D qualifications (CIPD L&D Level 5+ or equivalent), clinical training background, knowledge of apprenticeships and funding frameworks, LMS experience desirable.
