Overview
Sopra Steria is seeking a Head of Logistics to lead the development and delivery of our service offering. Working closely with UK defence organisations, this senior role combines strategic vision, commercial expertise, and innovative thinking to drive growth and excellence in logistics solutions.
You will take ownership of further developing the proposition and leading the execution of the Go-to-Market strategy for Sopra Steria’s Logistics and Engineering Support Services.
What you will be doing
- Define and execute the strategy for Sopra Steria’s Logistic and Engineering Support Service offering within the ADS sector, including budget management, roadmap planning, route to market, customer engagement, marketing initiatives, and revenue delivery.
- Lead the design of service propositions, with appropriate technical input, including pricing strategies, added-value services, and innovative approaches.
- Explore differentiated offers across Sopra Steria capabilities and partner networks, identifying opportunities for intellectual property development.
- Establish management information and performance measures to track success and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the Strategic Sales team to ensure alignment with corporate growth objectives.
What you will bring
- A strategic mindset with strong planning, organisational, and senior programme leadership skills.
- Knowledge of the UK Defence logistics marketplace, key suppliers of asset management and ERP systems.
- The ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels, including C-suite stakeholders, with credibility and gravitas.
- A collaborative leadership style and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in building complex business cases with attention to quality, detail, and commercial outcomes.
It would be great if you had
- Previous experience as an OF4 OR SEOB2 in Logistics, Engineering, or Equipment Support within the UK MOD or Armed Forces.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in Business, IT, or Engineering.
- Experience in service or product development processes.
- Strong commercial competence and negotiation skills.
