Overview
Head of Pre-Sales – Private Sector at Sopra Steria. Lead and shape the presales function across private sector engagements, driving end-to-end presales activities, supporting the full sales and bid lifecycle, and championing innovative solutions aligned with our broader business strategy.
Location: Anywhere in the UK. Occasional travel to Sopra Steria and client sites, conferences, trade fairs, product or proof of concept demos, and other presales activities may be required. Employment type: Permanent.
Salary: Up to £125k depending on experience. Benefits include a 15% bonus, car allowance, private medical, life assurance, pension, and a flexible benefits fund.

What you will be doing
- Lead and Inspire: Manage and motivate the Pre-Sales team to deliver high-quality support across all sales activities, fostering talent and driving performance.
- Drive Innovation: Champion a culture of innovation, applying proven frameworks to develop differentiated, market-leading solutions.
- Craft Winning Solutions: Collaborate with bid teams, architects, and delivery experts to design compelling, client-focused solutions that fuel business growth.
- Engage Clients Strategically: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, lead solution discussions, and ensure alignment with client needs and sector strategy.
- Deliver Excellence in Proposals: Oversee RFP responses and bid reviews, ensuring submissions are high-quality, tailored, and competitive.
- Accelerate Business Development: Support opportunity qualification, solution mapping, and client presentations, while identifying new innovation partnerships.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery of pre-sales support.

- Collaborative Delivery: Adept at working cross-functionally with technical, delivery, and commercial teams to ensure seamless presales support and delivery.
- Sector Insight: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and the competitive landscape, particularly within financial services.
Requirements and expectations
Relevant leadership experience in Pre-Sales within the technology/financial services sectors; ability to develop and present client-focused solutions and leading bid responses. Strong communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work cross-functionally across internal teams and external partners.
