Head of Project — Hybrid (Glasgow-based) or Fully Remote (UK)

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 dependent on experience, with excellent benefits including generous annual leave, pension contribution, and private healthcare.

PRINCE2 is a must and experience in not-for-profit, or membership organisations is desirable

My client, a leading not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to improving safety and standards across multiple sectors, is seeking a Head of Project to oversee and coordinate a diverse portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of a wide range of projects — from events and training course development to digital transformation initiatives.
• Manage the organisation’s project portfolio and develop the project management strategy.
• Ensure compliance with PRINCE2-based methods and support/guide project managers.
• Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and deliver improvements to processes and tools.
• Lead training and selected projects directly, working closely with senior leadership to align delivery with organisational goals.

About You / Qualifications

• Experienced project management professional with strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
• PRINCE2 training and practical experience applying it in live project environments.
• Experience managing a project portfolio; additional qualifications such as MoP, MSP, or APM PMQ are an advantage.
• Experience in not-for-profit or membership organisations is desirable.
• Familiarity with tools like Asana, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
