PRINCE2 is a must and experience in not-for-profit, or membership organisations is desirable
My client, a leading not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to improving safety and standards across multiple sectors, is seeking a Head of Project to oversee and coordinate a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role of Head of Project
You’ll lead the successful delivery of a wide range of projects — from events and training course development to digital transformation initiatives. This is a key role ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in line with strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include managing the organisation’s project portfolio, developing the project management strategy, and ensuring compliance with PRINCE2-based methods. You’ll support and guide project managers, monitor progress, mitigate risks, and deliver improvements to processes and tools. You’ll also lead training and selected projects directly, working closely with senior leadership to align delivery with organisational goals.
About You
You’re an experienced project management professional with strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills. You thrive in a dynamic environment and can motivate teams, manage risks, and drive results across multiple initiatives.
You’ll have PRINCE2 training and practical experience applying it in live project environments. Experience managing a project portfolio or holding additional qualifications such as MoP, MSP, or APM PMQ is an advantage. Experience in not-for-profit or membership organisations is desirable, as is familiarity with tools like Asana, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
