A leading engineering firm is seeking a Head of Projects to oversee the delivery of complex engineering programmes across diverse sectors. You'll manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial performance, while leading multi-disciplinary teams and engaging effectively with stakeholders. A background in industrial gases or process engineering is highly desirable, together with experience in safety-critical environments.

This role offers the chance to shape project delivery and drive continuous improvement.

Job Overview

  • Lead the Project team to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget completion of projects.
  • Shape and deliver the project strategy in line with company objectives and KPIs.
  • Uphold quality, safety, and compliance standards, promoting a zero-incident culture.
  • Support and develop project managers to maximise performance and growth.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and oversee commercial aspects of project delivery.
  • Support business development through proposals and account management.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement in systems, tools, and processes.
  • Represent the business professionally with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with directors and leadership to align project delivery with wider strategy.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites to oversee project execution and strengthen client relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Strong, previous experience managing turnkey engineering projects
  • Experience leading Engineering / Projects teams
  • Background experience in Industrial Gases or Process Engineering
  • Ideally degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
  • ASME qualified would be beneficial
  • Prepared to travel with the role as required (Potential up to 2 weeks a month)
  • Full driving licence

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary £70,000 - £77,000
  • Company equity Bonus & Performance related bonus scheme

  • 33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays

  • 40 hours per week (09:00 - 15:00 Core hours with flexibility either side)
