Creative Education Trust is a growing network of 17 schools, educating over 13,500 children and young people across England. We seek a dynamic and strategic Head of Recruitment to lead talent acquisition across our schools and Head Office. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of education through exceptional recruitment.

Job Title: Head of Recruitment
Location: Home‑based with regular travel to our Head Office and schools within the trust
Salary: Dependent upon experience
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time

As Head of Recruitment you will lead the charge in attracting, selecting, and onboarding exceptional talent across our network. You will be a strategic thinker, hands‑on leader, and a passionate brand ambassador, delivering a seamless candidate experience and driving innovative recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end‑to‑end recruitment campaigns, including senior leadership and executive roles.
  • Create and refine attraction strategies, marketing materials, and outreach initiatives to engage high‑quality candidates.
  • Collaborate with school leaders, HR teams, and external partners to secure top talent.
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes and promote diversity in candidate pipelines.
  • Operate remotely while traveling to schools and Head Office as required, thriving in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in managing end‑to‑end recruitment campaigns at senior and executive levels.
  • Creativity and precision in developing attraction strategies and marketing materials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to inspire trust and collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, resilient, and driven to continuously improve recruitment processes.
  • Comfortable with remote work and regular travel, able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑site setting.

Creative Education Trust provides professional, pragmatic, and solutions‑focused support to our schools on all people‑related matters. The HR Team delivers our People Strategy, which helps make each of our academies a great place to work and the Trust an employer of choice for both teaching and non‑teaching professionals.

Within the HR team sits the Dedicated Recruitment Team, led by the Head of Recruitment, and supported by a Recruitment Manager and two Talent Acquisition Coordinators. Together, they drive strategic and operational recruitment activity across the Trust.
