Position summary: as Head of Software Development, you will lead cross-functional engineering teams across product lines. Reporting to the Director of Product, you’ll be responsible for delivering mission-critical software, elevating development practices and ensuring your teams are aligned with our strategic and technical vision. This is both a people and delivery-focused role, blending technical understanding with leadership maturity to drive continuous improvement, product velocity, and a culture of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to deliver high-impact software projects on time and within scope
• Translate the product roadmap into technical execution plans, sprint goals, and delivery milestones
• Build and grow the engineering organization: recruit, coach, and mentor engineers; foster ownership, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Own resourcing, capacity planning, and team structuring across multiple projects; ensure agile ceremonies are effective and outcome-driven
• Drive engineering excellence: enforce code quality, security, and performance; maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability; manage release readiness
• Encourage experimentation and adoption of new tools/techniques; drive modernization, tech debt resolution, architecture reuse, and scalability
• Collaborate with Product, QA, AI/Cloud platform teams, and other departments; act as a bridge between technical teams and business leaders
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies; continuously improve velocity, flow, and predictability through agile practices
• Define and track data-driven metrics to demonstrate value delivered to customers and guide improvements

Required Qualifications

• Proven track record in software development with at least 2+ years in engineering leadership
• Experience in an IaaS company or cloud infrastructure environment
• Strong grasp of modern software development practices, system design, and engineering operations
• Hands-on exposure to AI or GPU-related products, either as a developer or technical leader
• Familiarity with AI tooling (e.g., Cursor, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot)
• Proven ability to deliver complex, cross-team technical projects
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing multiple development and release pipelines
• Comfort working in a dynamic startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/LESS/SAFe)
• Familiarity with modern tech stacks, DevOps workflows, and distributed systems
• PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications are a plus
• Experience in cloud-native or high-growth SaaS environments
• Worked on GPU Cloud based companies or with global teams
