The Role

Head of Solutions Engineering is an senior leadership role accountable for defining and executing Thrive Learning’s strategy for enterprise customer success, technical delivery, and integration. This role reports to the CPTO & VP of Engineering and leads a cross-functional team and new service, driving seamless post-go-live experiences, managing complex implementation projects, and continuously advancing the technical performance of the platform to meet enterprise client requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customer success and technical delivery strategies, ensuring enterprise clients achieve their goals and maximum value from Thrive Learning’s platform.
  • Oversee new client onboarding, integration projects, prospective customer technical requirements gathering, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Build customer feedback processes to identify product improvement opportunities that are consistent across the enterprise segment.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to represent the voice of enterprise clients and inform roadmap decisions.
  • Measure, report, and improve team performance using KPIs for technical delivery, integration, customer satisfaction, and retention.
  • Present regular updates on strategic initiatives and customer health metrics to executive leadership.
  • Recruit, coach, and empower senior technical delivery and customer success staff.
  • Ensure best‑in‑class technical support and proactive problem solving for mission‑critical clients.
  • Over time this role will evolve to become the team lead to a multi‑disciplinary team across technical delivery, solutions engineering, integration & customer technical onboarding.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience (8+ years) managing large technical delivery, integrations, and customer success teams in high‑growth SaaS or technology‑driven enterprises.
  • Experience working with Data streaming architectures (Snowflake), API & Webhook integrations & happy communicating with technical & non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proven technical & leadership background, ideally in enterprise software development, integrations, or solutions architecture.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including executive presence with Fortune 500 clients.
  • Track record of driving revenue growth, retention, and client satisfaction.
  • Data‑driven mindset and experience with KPIs, dashboarding, and reporting on technical/project/customer metrics.
  • Ability to Thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional, and client‑facing environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Competent & familiar with NodeJS, Javascript, Typescript, React, MongoDB Atlas.

  • First‑Stage Interview: Following the initial call, you will have a first‑stage interview with a member of the team you'd be joining. This is a chance for us to get to know you better and for you to ask any questions about the role. We'll also discuss why Thrive interests you and what you feel you can add to our team.
  • Final Stage Interview: You will meet with the Hiring Manager and/or a senior team member for a final interview. This stage is typically used for a more in‑depth discussion.
