Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

About the role

Leading a team of 8 Regional Wine & Spirits Managers, you will be responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of the Free Trade, Wholesale National and Hospitality Accounts as well as manage our external relationships with key suppliers and customers.

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Head of Wine & Spirits. Reporting to the Director of Third Party Brands, this role will play a key part of our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop the Wine, Spirits & Soft Drinks sales growth strategy, driving the category and commercial plans forward.
  • To lead from the front, inspiring your team through your vision, discipline, behaviours and values – facilitating innovation and challenge within the team, and cross functionally.
  • To work at a strategic level across all channels, ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure delivery.
  • Ensure cross functional collaboration across the National On Trade and Hospitality teams to develop Wines, Spirits & Soft Drinks for the On Trade and Hospitality customers.
  • Continuously striving for improvement and be a proactive leader of change – embracing development and encouraging positive outcomes through transformation.
  • Implements, monitors and reviews the sales strategy to ensure it delivers on volume and within budget for Free Trade, Wholesale and Nationals.

Experience and Key Attributes

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Senior sales level experience with knowledge in managing and leading a team.
  • Level 3 WSET or working towards is desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a flair for managing stakeholder relationships.
  • High level of numerical skills, with experience working within budgets.
  • Confidence in expressing, professionally presenting at board level.
