Overview

Health and Safety Manager role at Kier Group – Transportation team, Penrith, Cumbria. Driving licence is essential. This role manages and promotes Health and Safety for the Major Projects Highways business.

Location: Penrith, Cumbria – travel to the office required with some remote working available

Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per year + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits

Responsibilities

• Deliver Kier's strategic goals for SHE and promote Kier's vision and values to all stakeholders.
• Ensure legal and group compliance for the contract.
• Review or produce risk control documents, review supply chain risk control documents and assist operations manage risk.
• Ensure Safety, Health & Wellbeing strategy is both implemented and promoted on the contract.
• Provide SHE focal point on the contract and produce monthly report for contract senior management team.
• Ensure all incidents are notified and investigated.

What we are looking for / Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within highways construction or infrastructure.
• Diploma or equivalent in Health & Safety and CMIOSH or related Degree.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
