Health Economic Modeller, Freelancer | Market Access & Health Economics, Consultancy | EU Fully-Remote | £600 - 850 per day, Outside IR35 | 6 - 12 months Contract Length
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Freelance Health Economic Modeller to join our network of independent consultants. This role involves supporting high-impact global projects with pharmaceutical and medtech clients, focusing on health economic modelling, market access strategies, and HTA submissions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and adapt economic models (cost-effectiveness, budget impact, pricing models).
- Analyze clinical trial and real-world data to inform models.
- Support HTA submissions to bodies like NICE, SMC, HAS, G-BA, EMA.
- Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and value stories.
- Provide strategic input on pricing, reimbursement, and access.
- Mentor or review work of junior analysts or consultants.
Key Tasks:
- Build economic models using Excel or R.
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses.
- Perform data analysis with R, SAS, VBA, or Excel.
- Align models with real-world evidence and clinical outcomes.
- Assist in preparing HTA submissions and payer materials.
- Communicate technical results effectively to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience in health economics modelling, preferably in consulting or pharma.
- Experience with HTA models (NICE, SMC, etc.).
- Proficiency in R, Excel, VBA; SAS is a plus.
- Understanding of HTA processes and health economic methodologies.
- Strong analytical, scientific writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Degree in Health Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related field (MSc or PhD preferred).
