Senior Health & Safety Manager (Rail)

Location : London or Birmingham

Salary : £70,000£75,000 + £6,000 car allowance + benefits

We're supporting a leading engineering contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK, including major works within the rail, underground, and tram sectors. The business combines Tier 1 capability with Tier 2 agility offering design, delivery, and maintenance services across M&E, Fire and Telecommunications engineering.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to lead HSE delivery across a portfolio of rail and underground projects, driving a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance, and influencing continuous improvement across all operational activities.

The Role

As Senior Health & Safety Manager (Rail), you will act as the HSE subject matter expert and Rail Co‑ordinator, maintaining RISQS accreditation and supporting the safe planning and execution of on or near the line activities. You'll lead safety initiatives, audits, investigations and client engagement across projects with major rail stakeholders.
