The role – Housing Ombudsman & Quality Officer
As Housing Ombudsman & Quality Officer you will be essential to ensuring robust case management, compliance with the Housing Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code, and embedding learning from all determinations but in particular complaints with service failings, maladministration and severe maladministration determinations. You will support increased demand, including managing Subject Access Requests (SARs), and reinforce our regulatory position in the face of rising complaint volumes logged with the Housing Ombudsman and subsequent determinations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to work collaboratively with colleagues across Origin to drive successful Housing Ombudsman resolution.

Be the lead point of contact for the Housing Ombudsman Service, gathering and providing all requested information for investigations and monitoring actions to comply with determinations
Ensure the HOS portal is kept up to date and target dates are met in providing information
Whilst handling of Housing Ombudsman cases, ensure regulatory compliance, improve service quality
What you’ll need
We’re looking for someone who has:
Previous experience of professional interaction with regulatory bodies such as the Housing Ombudsman
Experience of working in the housing sector
Excellent and strong written skills
Ability to work independently and resolve Ombudsman requests proactively
Experience of working with complaints logged with the Housing Ombudsman and ability to act swiftly and professionally to their enquiries and outcomes, in a professional way
