HR Business Partner | East of England Ambulance Service Trust

EEAST is seeking an HR Business Partner (HBBP) to join the Business Partnering Team within the People Services directorate, on a fixed-term contract. The role involves a combination of home and office working, with weekly on-site requirements.
The HRBP is embedded within a Trust business unit, operational locality, or specialist service area, providing strategic advice and guidance to local management. The role supports achieving business objectives and KPIs, ensuring alignment with the Trust's wider strategy, HR policies, and fostering an evolving organizational culture.
The team is KPI-driven, analyzing data from various sources such as employee relations tracker, GRS, TRAC, establishment, budget, and ESR to advise on operational needs, including attendance, attrition, training, cultural change, management development, and recruitment.
EEAST serves six counties in the east of England, offering a diverse environment with urban, rural, and coastal areas. Proximity to London and major transport links like M25, A14, M1, M11, A12, and airports such as Luton, Stansted, Norwich, and Southend facilitate travel and connectivity.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Negotiating complex issues related to absence, performance, and organizational change with managers, employees, and trade unions.
- Supporting HR processes such as disciplinaries, grievances, consultations, and capability procedures.
- Handling sensitive communications in emotive situations like disciplinaries and grievances.
- Participating in management meetings to advise on HR issues affecting service performance and quality.
- Coaching managers to apply fair HR practices consistently across the Trust.
Analytical Skills: Using information from HR systems to analyze complex situations and recommend actions.
Planning Skills: Advising on the implementation and adjustment of HR strategies across the organization.
