HR Consultant

The role requires flexibility, resilience and the ability to manage a portfolio of clients, in a balanced and measured way. The main challenge is in responding to clients’ expectations, influencing key stakeholders and thinking on your feet in a wide range of industries.

The role is for a self-motivated, service-oriented individual who will enjoying working with various sized businesses, across a wide range of industries. It is a fast paced, varied role with no two days the same – a vast amount of generalist HR experience is required!

As well as providing HR support, the individual must be dedicated to the growth and success of the business; always looking for ways to generate business and create new opportunity.

This role is a hybrid role with office attendance typically 3 days per week and the requirement to attend on-site for clients as required.

Key Responsibilities:

§Providing timely and accurate email and telephone HR support and advice to a range of clients

§On-site client visits providing HR advice and support on a wide range of issues

§Conducting HR audits; providing recommendations and advice

§Drafting HR documentation including employee handbooks, employment contracts, standard letters and forms

§Developing and implementing HR policies and processes for clients in line with legislative changes

§Managing and conducting disciplinary, capability and grievance projects

§Managing and conducting restructuring and redundancy projects

§Acting as a client’s internal HR department, proactively managing projects and issues

§Advising on salaries and benefits

§Support with training and development

§Keeping client files up to date on our CRM system

§Recording and tracking opportunities on our CRM system

§Keeping up to date with employment law and current legislation and considering the impact for clients

You:

§Will be CIPD qualified (ideally but not essential) with considerable generalist HR experience

§Are well organised and accurate in both your approach and advice

§Are calm, professional and resilient

§Have a well-developed understanding and appreciation of the commercial challenges faced by businesses

§Possess excellent written and oral communication skills with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

§Have strong relationship building skills and the ability to build credibility with key contacts

§Have the ability to manage a varied and demanding client base, prioritise work and meet tight deadlines is essential

§Have a natural interest in your own self development and be able to demonstrate how you continue to challenge and develop your skills, knowledge and experience

§Accept a high level of autonomy and have the self-motivation to work alone, manage your own workload and achieve results

§Must be willing to travel to our clients and work on site as and when required

§You will be in regular contact with the Directors and the rest of the team on a regular basis

§Hold a full UK driving licence with access to your own car for client visits / business meetings
