The Opportunity: People Operations Coordinator

Are you ready to kickstart or grow your HR career within a fantastic team? We're seeking a highly organised and proactive People Coordinator to join our vibrant People Operations team at WPP Media. This pivotal role ensures our HR department runs smoothly, providing essential administrative support and acting as a friendly first point of contact for our employees.

You'll thrive in our fast-paced, evolving environment, bringing a meticulous eye for detail and a positive, 'can-do' attitude. This role is central to maintaining our supportive HR environment, offering a platform to develop your HR career. You'll manage essential admin tasks and contribute to continuous improvement and HR projects, helping to positively shape the HR experience across WPP Media.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee Support: First point of contact for employee queries, managing our shared inbox and handling requests.
• Onboarding & Compliance: Verifying eligibility to work in the UK, issuing contracts and new starter packs, coordinating reference and DBS checks, and managing visa expiry tracking.
• HR Administration: Handling core HR admin tasks such as contracts, offer letters, probation, staff changes, and leavers.
• Payroll Support: Supporting monthly payroll processes, ensuring accurate submissions on Workday and other trackers.
• Data Management: Maintaining HRIS data accuracy, generating reports (e.g., CSR, holiday/absence, ad-hoc).
• Compliance: Ensuring all processes and personnel files are compliant with Audit, SOX, and GDPR standards.
• Policy & Process: Developing understanding and application of all HR policies and systems.

Growth & Development Opportunities: You will also have opportunities to support parental leave processes, assist with reporting for WPP Media/WPP, contribute to HR system updates, and participate in HR projects and learning & development tasks.

What You’ll Bring

• Passion for HR: Entry-level experience with a desire to build a career in HR. Previous HR experience is a bonus.

• Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Experience with HR systems like Workday is a plus.
