HSE-Safety Manager

I am currently working with leading M&E contractor who operates within the building services sector. It provides a range of mechanical and electrical engineering solutions to clients across various industries. As it stands the business generates an annual turnover of more than £200 million with average MEP project values of £30 million+ yet retains the core family values it always has done. The diverse range of construction markets including high end, mid-level residential, commercial fitouts, data centre delivery, offsite modular engineering and the growing life science sectors.

Health and Safety Manager Opportunity:
My client are currently seeking a proactive and confident Health and Safety Manager to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance and promoting a strong safety culture across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will be responsible for managing your own schedule, dividing your time between site visits and office-based work. The business operates from two office locations; Currently managing 16 live projects, with an average of 20 at any given time. You will take ownership of 4 to 5 projects, depending on scope and location. HSQE Project and documentation support including Preliminary and Construction Stage Safety and Health Plans
Maintain compliance with current Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and maintain awareness of legislative changes and industry standards.
Obtaining and reviewing safety documentation from Clients, Suppliers and Subcontractors
Carrying out Site Inspections and produce reports.
Assist the site team in the preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and associated documentation and records.
Daily/weekly reporting to the Business, project management staff and client
Provide HSQE advice and direction to staff and contractors, liaising with Site Personnel
Compilation of Safety Files and O&M Manuals.

Hold a recognised HSQE qualification of a minimum NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction or IOSH.
