IC24 Primary & Community Care Division Sussex Clinical Lead
Are you an experienced GP who is passionate about clinical excellence and ensuring quality care? Do you have experience in leadership and management? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We have a unique and exciting opportunity within our Primary & Community Care Divisional team (formerly Kent & Sussex Regional Team). This key role will deputise for and support the Divisional Medical Director (DMD) in leading and promoting continuous improvement.
Main duties of the job
You will collaborate with the Divisional management team to monitor and enhance the quality and performance of services. This involves effective leadership and management of clinical colleagues across Sussex contracts, focusing on key areas such as our Sussex Out-of-Hours Home Visiting service (SHVS) and the Roving GP service (which provides in-hours home visits in Brighton). As services evolve, the role requires adaptability to the changing NHS landscape and involvement in shaping future services. Working closely with the DMD, you will provide professional support, clinical expertise, and oversee clinical governance to ensure safe and effective patient care.
About us
The role is flexible and can largely be performed remotely, with an expectation to work clinically within the services managed. Occasional external meetings with stakeholders and the ICB are also part of the role. Experience working in these environments is desirable. An interest in contributing to and supporting trainees as part of a learning organization is also beneficial. We offer a competitive package, development opportunities, and the chance to join the NHS pension scheme.
Job responsibilities
As above, working with the Divisional management team to monitor and improve service quality and performance, managing clinical colleagues, focusing on key services, and adapting to NHS changes. Providing professional support, clinical expertise, and governance to ensure safe patient care.
