The Role We are looking for an Implementation Consultant to assist with our Financial Messaging customers. This position will be working with our EMEA and U.S./North America customers. This position can be Remote for UK Citizens who live in the UK, provided they are comfortable working within the Edinburgh/BST Time Zones. We are Not Able to provide Visa Sponsorship or Visa Transfers at this time.
The Implementation Consultant is a key member of the project and services teams who will work with Bottomline’s Financial Messaging customers. This is a hands-on services delivery role with the expectation that the Implementation consultant will be technically experienced in a development or programming environment and will become well-versed in the practical use of the product suite. This person may be called on to assist in pre-sale review and documentation of a client\'s current systems and business applications, establishing technical business requirements, and identifying the new or enhanced business processes and Bottomline software and services that meet these requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the configuration of Bottomline software products, client communication, business process consulting, custom program implementation, issue tracking and resolution, training, and other tasks necessary to execute the contracted services
- Work with the Project Manager and other delivery consultants, handling multiple facets of Bottomline software implementation projects for the Financial Messaging line of business
- Be technical, hands-on, customer-facing configuration when needed, implement customizations and deliver
- Execute upgrades (e.g., databases, GTSuite products) and/or platform migration, and assist customers in their testing
- Troubleshoot and track issues, train customers on Bottomline product usage when necessary, and perform other necessary tasks to execute contracted services
- Perform high-level data and project relations when supporting/troubleshooting account issues
- Cultivate and sustain the customer relationship and ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction
- Build and reinforce customer relationships by listening and adapting solutions to meet customer needs
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience or equivalent in payments solutions analysis, technical program delivery, or related field
- 2 years of knowledge related to GTExchange and GTSuite (REQUIRED)
- Financial industry or payments experience preferred
- Knowledge of ISO 20022, FINPlus and SWIFT messaging, with experience in developing and interpreting data models
- Knowledge of configuration for SWIFT channels (e.g., SWIFTNet FINPlus, Interact, FileAct, FIN)
- Understanding of web application concepts (APIs, JSON, Certificates, SSL/TLS), operating systems (Linux/Unix a must), databases, workflow, and document construction and management
- Strong understanding of financial systems and technology; programming experience is preferred
- Understanding of system architecture, administration, and security standards
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in payments technology platforms, including hands-on experience with major clearing market infrastructures
- Strong technical writing skills with ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences
- Team-focused with strong collaboration and communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of High Value Payments Systems, Low Value Payments Systems, and Real Time Payment rails (e.g., CHAPS, SEPA, FPS, BACS, SIC IP)
- Experience with JIRA to manage backlog of development stories and analysis tasks
