What this role is all about:
Key Actions
- Assess Income Protection claims, ensuring attention to detail and compliance with industry claims practice. Obtain medical, financial, and relevant information; adhere to Service Level Agreements.
- Draft and issue claims decision letters and related correspondence, including communications to senior staff.
- Liaise with underwriters, management, reinsurers, and stakeholders to ensure swift and correct claim outcomes.
- Support team members with best practice techniques and medical knowledge sharing.
- Follow internal client service practices to build rewarding relationships and enable exceptional client service.
What you need to thrive
- Broad experience in assessing and managing IP claims.
- Experience dealing directly with FOS on claims matters.
- Experience working with reinsurers.
- Confidence in presenting ideas and training peers.
- Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office apps.
- Knowledge of the UK insurance market and regulatory environment.
