Role Overview:
The UK/IR & Export Indirect Sales Manager is responsible for executing a growth strategy based on Watlow's 80/20 Pareto principle, focusing on client delegation.
This leadership role involves managing and developing a network of Prime/Key partners to maximize growth through indirect sales channels in the UK, Ireland, Africa, and potentially the Middle East.
The role requires a strong understanding of UK/IR and international sales, excellent partner management skills, and the ability to drive performance across diverse markets.
You can work hybrid or remote.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an indirect sales strategy based on the Pareto 80/20 principle to manage low-value clients and maximize revenue in the UK/IR and international markets.
- Align the sales strategy with company objectives, ensuring measurable results tailored to each market.
- Create a Business Plan to articulate the indirect sales strategy, aiming to improve performance and sustainable growth.
- Drive indirect sales results across the UK/IR and international markets by working with channel partners and internal teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key indirect sales channels, ensuring alignment with growth goals.
- Identify and onboard new channel partners to enhance coverage and performance.
- Unify Watlow channel partners to align with the full portfolio and strategic goals for UK/IR and export markets.
- Focus on top-tier clients driving most revenue, optimizing resources for others via distributors and e-commerce.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through partner training on account management and solutions.
- Increase distributors’ sales and technical independence to reduce internal dependency and boost local capabilities.
- Set KPIs and performance metrics for indirect sales channels, ensuring accountability and progress tracking.
- Provide regular updates, forecasts, and insights to senior leadership on performance and areas for improvement.
Qualifications And Attributes:
- Experience in sales leadership with indirect channels, UK/IR and international exposure.
- Proven ability to manage and develop indirect sales channels domestically and abroad.
- Strategic mindset with growth implementation skills.
- Expertise in channel management and adapting to local market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills for operational challenges.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales drivers.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the UK/IR and internationally.
