Your Role in a Nutshell

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Senior Buyer to join our Sourcing Team at our global headquarters in Brighton. The successful candidate will manage spend across various Indirect categories, focusing on Marketing services, fostering innovation, efficiency, and cost savings. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies within ethical and internal control guidelines, managing supplier relationships, contracts, and performance to deliver value for The Body Shop International (TBSI).

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner with the business to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with growth objectives.
2. Lead strategic sourcing and category management, including strategy development, RFPs, contract negotiations, and driving efficiencies.
3. Manage projects from identification to deployment, engaging stakeholders throughout.
4. Conduct spend analysis and negotiate cost and payment terms.
5. Map and engage stakeholders and suppliers, developing the supplier base to enhance performance.
6. Deliver cost savings, innovation, and efficiency in relevant spend areas.
7. Develop and monitor annual savings budgets and pipelines.
8. Report regularly on performance metrics to procurement and business stakeholders.
9. Ensure procurement and ethical protocols are followed, maintaining internal control standards.
10. Manage supplier relationships, including reviews, scorecards, new vendor approvals, and risk management.

What We Look For

• Strong expertise in strategic indirect sourcing within an FMCG environment.
• Experience in indirect sourcing processes and contract management.
• Experience managing creative, digital, and media spend.
• Knowledge of the health and beauty industry (desirable).
• A proven track record of dynamic performance in previous roles.
• Knowledge of retail operations (desirable).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• High integrity and performance ethic.
