Role responsibilities;
- Assist the IT Manager to deliver roadmap objectives, this includes:
- Managing users, devices, policies and configurations in Intune and Entra, and designing efficient processes.
- Building and maintaining a SharePoint-based extranet for external collaboration.
- Supporting and improving our-on-site network and cloud based telephony systems.
- Leveraging PowerShell and Power Platform to administer systems such as Entra ID, Exchange, Azure, Teams, and to develop scripts and automations that streamline IT operations.
- Provide hands on BAU support alongside the IT team - managing the helpdesk, resolving issues, and providing on-site cover where needed.
- Support the IT team with BAU requirements, including shared helpdesk and on-site duties.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues across the business, maintain up-to-date documentation, and create knowledge base articles for the IT team.
Key skills required;
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft SaaS and PaaS (Microsoft 365 & Entra ID are essential).
- Proven ability to meet objectives and rollout new systems.
- Competent at scripting, e.g. PowerShell (various modules, Azure, Exchange Online).
- Strong all round IT skills, including networking and hardware experience.
- At least 1 year IT helpdesk experience, or similar with demonstrable personal development of IT skills outside of work.
- Personable and approachable, and naturally want to encourage others, learn, and transfer knowledge.
