We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Director of Internal Communication Global Finance Strategy And Risk And Compliance on a 13 Month Secondment).

Throughout the duration of this Secondment you will be the strategic communications partner to both the Group Chief Financial Officer and the Group Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.

In this role you will:

• Be the strategic communications partner to both the Group Chief Financial Officer and the Group Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.
• Lead internal communications across: Finance, Sustainability & Group External Communications and Risk & Compliance. They also provide strategic communications advisory to Legal and Audit.
• Shape and deliver impactful communication strategies that help colleagues both within and beyond FS&GEC and R&C understand the role these functions play in enabling our success and protecting our future.
• Bring clarity and consistency to how we communicate across these specialist areas of expertise.
• Take the lead on internal communications for announcement of Group financial results, key changes across both functions, activities to help support regulatory excellence and manage financial crime, and other key risk and compliance activities.

This role is based in London, Hybrid.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Proven track record in developing, managing and implementing effective internal communications strategies with experience of working at ‘Communications Director’ or ‘Head of Communications’ level.
• Proven experience in providing communications counsel for senior stakeholders in complex, global organisations with significant reputational risk issues – able to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritise and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues.
• An experienced leader who can consistently deliver superior team performance, identify and develop talent and work collaboratively with peers.
• Ability to understand business issues and devise communication solutions that deliver results, constructing fresh, innovative approaches where appropriate and making connections to other issues.
