Overview

We’re working with a leading PE backed organisation in Surrey seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller to join on an initial 6-month assignment.

This is a pivotal role, leading the Billing and Credit Control functions across a multi-site, property-based portfolio, and ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in all processes. As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will drive improvements in billing accuracy, cash collection, and working capital management. You’ll work closely with operations and commercial colleagues to resolve billing challenges, improve controls, and strengthen revenue recognition across a complex, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the Billing and Credit Control teams.
  • Oversee billing across multiple properties/sites, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner with operations to resolve disputes and streamline processes.
  • Deliver working capital improvements and reduce overdue debt.
  • Enhance systems, controls, and reporting to support strategic objectives.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong leadership experience in billing, credit control, and financial controls.
  • Track record of delivering improvements across multi-site or property-led environments.
