The private equity-backed technology business has recently completed a major ERP migration, moving multiple systems onto NetSuite. The next phase is to migrate consolidated reporting from a legacy platform into NetSuite. The business is seeking an experienced Interim Consultant who combines strong technical accounting expertise with in-depth NetSuite knowledge. This role will be central to ensuring a smooth transition, embedding best practice across core finance processes, and delivering IFRS-compliant reporting. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with extensive experience in group consolidation, multi-currency reporting, and finance systems transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the NetSuite subject matter expert during the transition of consolidated reporting, ensuring the system is configured to support best practice accounting processes.
  • Oversee the migration away from the legacy reporting tool, ensuring full operational capability in NetSuite within agreed timelines.
  • Review and enhance processes across GL, AR, and AP.
  • Deliver IFRS-compliant reporting, including VAT returns and technical accounting.
  • Support group consolidation and multi-currency reporting within NetSuite.
  • Lead the set-up of intercompany accounting and eliminations.
  • Provide hands-on expertise to the finance team and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Document and embed process improvements to support ongoing optimisation.

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting background with IFRS experience.
  • Proven expertise in NetSuite, ideally with post-implementation optimisation.
  • Experience in group and multi-currency consolidation.
  • Knowledge of AP, AR, and GL best practices.
  • Experience in intercompany accounting.
  • Prior exposure to Cognos or similar reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate independently.
  • 3 days per week in the office (hybrid model).
  • 3–6 months initial contract with scope to extend.
