A high-growth media company is looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join their dynamic and fast-paced finance team. Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you’ll play a critical role in managing and delivering consolidated financial reporting for the Group, ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and external regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end group consolidation processes, maintaining the consolidation chart of accounts.
  • Prepare timely and accurate group consolidated financial statements, management reports and variance analyses.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Partner with Shared Services, FP&A, Tax and Treasury teams to support group-wide financial activities.
  • Collaborate with studio finance teams globally, offering technical accounting guidance and ensuring compliance with Group policies.
  • Draft technical accounting papers on key areas including IFRS 15, IFRS 3, and IFRS 2.
  • Support the integration of acquisitions into Group reporting structures.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives, including system enhancements, automation, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 optimisation.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, controls, and systems.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate year-end audit activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Proven post-qualification experience in group financial accounting and reporting within a complex or multinational environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS and UK GAAP, with experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – you're confident working across multiple geographies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset.
  • Well‑organised, adaptable, and able to deliver under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI is highly desirable.
