Mobile Engineer (iOS) – Government Project (Outside IR35, Remote)

The Opportunity

We’re engaged on a major UK Government digital programme and looking for experienced iOS Engineers to join the team. This is a long-term, high-profile contract where you’ll be contributing to the development of secure, citizen-facing mobile services with nationwide impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance iOS applications for government services.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product specialists.
  • Integrate APIs and deliver new mobile functionality at scale.
  • Ensure apps meet security, performance, and accessibility standards.
  • Support ongoing improvements and feature delivery within Agile squads.
  • Strong commercial experience as an iOS Engineer.
  • Proficiency with Swift / SwiftUI and Apple development tools.
  • Strong knowledge of API integration and performance optimisation.
  • Agile team experience.
  • SC clearance (active or in progress).
  • Prior government, defence, or regulated sector experience.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML integration in mobile apps.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app security.
