IT Business Analyst - Branch Systems

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about driving efficiency, improving processes, and ensuring strong financial controls across our systems and reporting.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert and primary point of contact for both internal teams and external partners. You’ll bring together business knowledge and project management expertise to deliver solutions that meet our clients’ needs with speed and precision.
We’re looking for someone who can balance technical know-how with clear communication, ensuring our systems continue to operate at their best while supporting future growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build an understanding of how the business operates – strategic objectives, key business initiatives, departmental structure, functions, processes, procedures, and current application functionality.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships and effective communication levels with stakeholders, including key users throughout the business and external suppliers.
- Identify potential system solutions to business needs whilst ensuring a close fit exists between business needs and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document detailed business requirements in the form of a detailed strategic, business, and functional requirement specification set.
- Analyse business requirements to fully understand business processes, goals, and challenges for future versions.
Requirements:
- Strong Business Analyst background
- The ability to form functional specifications for use by other team members.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a simple manner.
- Excellent functional understanding of systems across a variety of business areas and technical implementations.
- Experience/exposure of software development methodology e.g. Agile.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and methodologies to define business problems.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- A good understanding of available and emerging IT technologies.
- Excellent communication showing the ability to communicate effectively at various levels within the organisation, including senior management, operations personnel, and customers.
- Experience in Linux, Java, COBOL and SQL.
