About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised indirect IT Category Manager to join our team. As an IT procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in streamlining the IT procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and strategic sourcing. You will collaborate with various departments to understand IT requirements, including Digital Marketing, evaluate supplier options, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Responsibilities

  • As an IT Category Manager you will work on Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software, including Digital Marketing, SaaS, and services.
  • Maintain a forward-looking IT category plan aligned with business and technology roadmaps.
  • Innovation & Value Creation
  • Apply a strategic mindset to identify and implement innovative procurement solutions that enhance our IT capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and challenge the status quo to unlock new opportunities.
  • Savings Delivery & Financial Insight
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of savings types (e.g. cost avoidance, cost reduction, value-add).
  • Track and report savings performance against targets, ensuring alignment with finance and budget owners.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and other departments to define requirements and priorities.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives such as Order Management Systems, Legal Management Systems, and Source-to-Contract platforms.
  • Supplier & Contract Management
  • Lead supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract finalisation.
  • Manage service levels, performance reviews, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Sustainability & Compliance
  • Promote ethical sourcing and sustainable procurement practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT procurement within a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Experience in Digital/Performance Marketing contracts.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Deep understanding of procurement levers and savings methodologies.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and analytics tools.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
