IT Support Engineer
New Today
Overview
At Oritain, we believe every product has a story- and we use science and technology to tell it. From our offices in Auckland, Dunedin, London, Singapore, and Washington D.C., we’re on a mission to bring transparency to global supply chains, protecting both people and planet.
We’re looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our London team. You’ll be the person our colleagues turn to when they need help with tech- whether that’s solving complex infrastructure challenges or explaining a fix in plain, jargon-free language.
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll balance user support with project work, keeping our systems secure and efficient while making sure our people feel supported and confident with the tools they use. You’ll be part of a small but mighty global team across the UK and New Zealand, and occasionally, you may get the chance to travel to our other international offices.
What you’ll do
- Provide 1st–3rd line technical support across our IT infrastructure, ensuring a high level of support and system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tickets, escalating when needed.
- Get new starters up and running (hardware, accounts, access) and manage smooth offboarding.
- Configure and maintain IT kit: laptops, mobiles, printers, servers etc.
- Monitor and maintain Oritain’s infrastructure (switches, routers, storage, access points).
- Support IT security, backups, patching, and compliance checks.
- Work on infrastructure, deployment, and security projects.
- Keep our IT documentation and knowledge base clear and up to date.
- Partner with colleagues and external suppliers to deliver a first-class IT service.
What you’ll bring
- Experience across the full breadth of 1st–3rd line IT support.
- Strong technical knowledge (Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, SharePoint, Cisco systems, networking fundamentals).
- Solid understanding of firewalls and network security best practices.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks, endpoint management, and security tools.
- Bonus points if you hold Microsoft or Cisco certifications.
And just as importantly…
- You’re a clear communicator who can explain technical issues in simple, human language.
- You’re a problem-solver who enjoys making things work better- for both systems and people.
- You’re organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- You’re collaborative and comfortable working with colleagues around the globe.
